NEU Battery Materials awarded for its innovative approach to a smart, sustainable, and resilient future

NEU Battery Materials, the Singapore-based startup specializing in lithium-ion battery recycling, in which Shift4Good invested US$3.7 million in an oversubscribed Seed round last July, has won the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition.

Themed “Innovations Beyond Boundaries”, the 11th edition of the LKYGBPC brings together the brightest minds from the world’s most entrepreneurial universities to address the challenges of the 21st century and reimagine a smart, sustainable and resilient future.

NEU Battery Materials also clinched a series of prestigious awards, including the Singapore Management University Chancellor Award, the Maybank Young Entrepreneurship Shield Award, the Sembcorp Industries Ltd Greenovation Award, and the YIT Haina Innovation Award, accumulating US$190,000 in prize money.

In addition to the financial boost, these awards shine a light on this promising company that is working on expanding into new markets and enhancing its production capacity at the Singapore plant.
