EyeLights raises €20M to accelerate the deployment of its augmented reality technology

Eyelights has successfully closed a new 20 million euros round of financing led by sustainable mobility fund Shift4Good, Bpifrance via Fonds Avenir Automobile 2, and EIC, the European Commission’s “Deep Tech” investment vehicle. Aster, Breega Capital, FK Group, and Tech stars also participated in this round.

With this new round, EyeLights aims to scale up its operations to industrialize its Augmented Reality for automotive and motorcycle manufacturers to disrupt future cockpits.

Founded in 2016, the start-up developed and commercialized its first head-up display technology for motorcycle helmets, EyeRide, in 2017. Adaptable to all helmets and compatible with Apple and Google mobility applications, EyeLights is the leader in motorcycle head-up display systems.

Building on its success, EyeLights extended its technology to two-wheeler manufacturers in 2021 and signed two industrial agreements. At CES 2022 in Las Vegas, EyeLights unveiled the first industrialized Augmented Reality windshield in a production vehicle, in partnership with Japanese leader AGC. The company also signed a development contract with Renault to engineer the future of the automotive human-machine interface with Luc Julia (Scientific Director at Renault, co-creator of Siri and specialist in artificial intelligence).
