Glenville Lee
Investment Director
I started my career at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) – an agency spearheading the economic growth and strategies of Singapore. There, I struck public-private partnership deals with global MNCs in the cleantech sector for investments into Singapore – this includes a S$250 million investment by REC Solar into solar photovoltaic
(PV) manufacturing and R&D.
I then moved over to another division in EDB focusing on corporate innovation and venture capital (VC) investments. There, I was involved in end-to-end VC deal operations (i.e., from sourcing to portfolio management) for deals ranging from Seed to Series B. I also gained experience with the intricacies of corporate innovation and how corporates and start-ups can best collaborate for win-win outcomes. Lastly, I forged strategic partnerships with corporates for co-investment and venture building.

What I love doing
As the Chinese saying goes, the same water that floats a boat can also sink it. Similarly, I believe money can be channelled as a force for good to finance worthy causes in our world. Climate change is arguably the biggest existential threat lifeforms on Earth face, and I’m passionate about partnering with entrepreneurs to combat climate change. In my spare time, I love reading, hitting the gym, hiking, watching action movies/comedies/soccer and spending quality time with loved ones and friends.
