Amélie Arthus-Bertrand
I started my career in private equity, supporting small-cap agri-food companies and French family-owned SMEs through industrial development, international expansion, M&A, and succession planning.
Over time, I felt the need to “switch sides” and experience entrepreneurship firsthand. I created my own HR venture, helping organizations better accompany maternity and paternity in the workplace — a turning point that marked the beginning of my journey toward purpose-driven work.
I later joined a social impact fund, investing in both minority and majority positions across companies at different stages of maturity in the fields of culture & entertainment and social solidarity. Beyond capital, I worked closely with CEOs on strategic roadmap, recruitment, and build-ups.
With over 10 years navigating both investment and entrepreneurship, I've been driven by the belief that business can be a force for positive change, a conviction I now pursue at Shift4Good, contributing to the meaningful and ambitious mission to decarbonize mobility.
What inspires me most today is meeting passionate founders and innovators, discovering business models designed for impact and helping them grow with both strategic insight and hands-on support.
What I love doing
Outside of work, I love spending time with my three children and helping them grow with joy and curiosity. I am also committed to supporting people with disabilities through an association, and I enjoy mentoring students who are exploring their career paths. Discovering new cultures through travel and reading is another source of inspiration for me.
