Having had an avid interest in the venture capital / private equity space since the beginning of my time at SMU in Singapore, I began my career as a corporate finance intern at Provident Capital Partners – an investment group based in Singapore. At Provident, I worked across various industries on M&A deals, capital raising projects, and an IPO – all of which cemented my interest in the space and gave me some invaluable deal experience.
During my time at SMU, I was drawn towards the early-stage VC space, particularly wanting to learn more about innovating startups that could go on to have a significant real-world impact. However, it was not until I started interning at Shift4Good that I discovered startups that were not only developing groundbreaking technologies, but also maintaining their commitment to bettering the environment at the same time. Having looked closely at various innovative startups like portfolio companies GCK and Compredict, I was inspired by their commitment to sustainability.
Now, I have joined Shift4Good as an analyst – looking to further my career aspirations in the venture capital arena. While simultaneously, being a net positive contributor to the environment by being part of a team that invests sustainably. Transport, in particular, is one of the key industries that must be revolutionized in order to successfully tackle the climate crisis, and it is also booming with visionary ideas on how to do so. At Shift4Good, I’m committed to contributing to this shift and investing in the future.
